Storyline:They watched the brutal (and lethal) wounding of the male driver Nathan (David Downer) (he was pinned by darts to his vehicle by Wez""s wrist-mounted crossbow) and the stripping, rape (and murder by crossbow) of a female victim (Kathleen McKay).Hey, that""s a pretty good idea.I""ll give you the moon, Mary.Mary: I""ll take it.Then what?George: Well, then you could swallow it.And it""ll all dissolve, see.And the moon beams that shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair...Am I talking too much?A bald, overweight neighbor (Dick Elliott) on a nearby back porch hears their romantic, non-sensical conversation and challenges George to do less talking and try more romantic action:Man on Porch: Why don""t you kiss her instead of talking her to death?George: You want me to kiss her, huh?Man on Porch (as he exasperatedly steps inside his house): Ah! Youth is wasted on the wrong people!George: Hey, hey, hold on, hey, mister! Come on back out here! I""ll show you some kiss that""ll put hair back on your head. His Uncle had to change shifts at work to meet with him, now making Peter responsible for picking up Aunt May at 9:00 pm hat night. His mother is still suffering the traumatic effects of separation from her husband.Elliott unwittingly widens the rifts in the already broken family (his father left for Mexico with another woman) and weakens the bonds that hold hem together during their conversation:Mom: It""s not that we don""t believe you, honey. Many reviewers have commented upon how the musical was also not a very accurate historical representation of the Canadian Mounted Police, or of the hypnotic ethnic sequence known as the "Totem Tom Tom" Indian dance.
