Storyline:The precursor to the western film genre was based on an 1896 story by Scott Marble. The film""s title was also the same as a popular contemporary stage melodrama. It was the most popular and commercially successful film of the pre-nickelodeon era, and established the notion that film could be a commercially-viable medium.] The overly-indulgent film was budgeted at $12 million, and had a box-office of over $20 million. The nearly four-hour long film (withoutany female speaking roles) featured a star-studded cast, with a virtually unknown, blue-eyed Irish Shakespearean stage actor Peter O""Toole in his first starring role.Harvey earns Manuel""s respect when he admits to his deed and feels ashamed. He takes his place as Manuel""s dory mate apprentice during fishing excursions. In a tribute to Manuel""s care and support of his "lettle feesh," and realizing that he will soon be returned o his real father, Harvey tearfully asks: "I want to be with you Manuel, please." From out of he darkness, he briefly glimpsed the Necromancer before fleeing. The next danger the group encountered was attacking Warg scouts (gigantic blood-thirsty wolves), followed by Orcs riding on Wargs that were hunting for the Dwarf-scum.
