Leopold Dilg (Cary Grant), a factory worker and a self-professed radical and political anarchist is falsely accused (framed on trumped-up charges of arson and murder) in a small New England town by the factory owner Andrew Holmes (Charles Dingle), for setting fire to the Holmes Woolen Mill factory and killing its guard/foreman Clyde Bracken (Tom Tyler).Katherine Brewster was a key figure in the plot - she was John""s future wife and second-in-command.(Her husband John Connor died on July 4, 2032 - he was killed by The Terminator himself).She was important because her father, US Air Force Lieut.General Robert Brewster (David Andrews), was the USAF program director of CRS (Cyber Research Systems, autonomous weapons division) that had taken over the Skynet project after Cyberdyne Systems was destroyed (by Miles Dyson in the second film).She distracted him by describing their ultimate plan - to use a secret tunnel and passageway leading from the forest to underneath the walls of King Roderick""s castle, where they could gain access by obtaining a key (in the King""s possession in his chambers) and then have the Black Fox launch a surprise attack.Although Hepburn had a brilliant performance in this film, she was an unconventional, independent-spirited performer, and this was her last film for RKO - since she had been infamously labeled ""box-office poison"" through most of the 30s.
