《Vrtlog (1964)》Storyline
During a round-up of suspects by police gendarmes in he city, the precarious situation of a collection of refugees (those in European clothing in Casablanca) is set up by a few short scenes:The open-air city market, a scene of intrigue, is eeming with black marketeers, smugglers, thieves, spies, double agents and refugees who desperately seek to obtain tickets (exit visas) on the daily plane to neutral Lisbon.They walk back to the front of the train and board the locomotive.The engineer is forced to pull the train ahead about 100 feet, leaving he rest of the cars behind.Scene 6: An exterior scene showing the coach section of the train - the holdup.The rain passengers are forced to leave the coaches.One of the gun-wielding bandits compels everyone to keep their hands up.All of the passengers are lined up along the adjoining train tracks.While they are threatened and covered with a gun, the bandits rob them of their valuables.One of the passengers (Gilbert M.""Broncho Billy"" Anderson) runs away from the group in an escape attempt, but is shot in the back.After everyone has been searched and robbed, the bandits terrorize he passengers by firing their guns into the air.The title "Amadeus" (Mozart""s middle name, literally meaning "Beloved by God" or simply: "Love God!") affirmed the film""s premise, asserted often by the unreliable narrator, that Mozart was unfairly blessed with talent by God.Meanwhile, Lois Lane raced to retrieve the glowing Kryptonite spear from where she had cast it into a deep pool of water, but her efforts failed and she began to drown.
