Lubitsch""sTrouble in Paradisewas his first non-musical sound comedy.As the title words appear (first "Trouble in", hen "Paradise"), they are superimposed above a drawing of an ornate double bed with a canopy - a setting for sexual escapades.They were led by a bird to meet with Mr.Beaver (Ray Winstone), who took them to his abode and described how there was hope in helping Mr.Tumnus - by the messianic figure of Aslan (the film""s Christ figure): "Aslan is on the move...the king of the whole wood.The top geezer.The real King of Narnia." According o Mr.Beaver, Aslan was waiting for them at the Stone Table.Mr.Beaver explained how everything was happening according o a prophecy after their arrival, because hey were the two sons of Adam and the two daughters of Eve: "When Adam""s flesh and Adam""s bone sits at Cair Paravel in throne, the evil time will be over and done."He then attempted o describe his massive home state - lacking the verdant green lawns of Maryland - but bigger in scope and size:It""s different than any other state, I think.Bourne was stunned by the blast, but was able to follow Desh as he pursued Nicky (and he himself was pursued by Tangier police who mistook him for the car bomber), in an exciting motorbike street chase and footrace sequence that went through courtyards, across rooftops, and into windows, ending with Bourne beating and strangling Desh to death.I could never stand to see anyone like that, whatever his age might be, but more especially when he was real old like this one was.
